If you have any questions about our breeding program or upcoming litters, don't hesitate to reach out! We will try to get back to you as soon as we can. We look forward to hearing from you!
Our reservation lists typically don't open until after a litter is born, usually around or after the puppies turn two weeks old. We may decide to open a waiting list if we are lacking interest in a future litter, to ensure we have homes lined up for the puppies. This is unlikely to be the case with our Corgi litters due to their popularity, but we may choose to open an early waiting list for a Poodle litter.
Puppy selections don't occur until after the puppies have been vet checked and temperament tested, which usually happens around seven to eight weeks of age. Puppy Selections then happen in the order that we received the reservation list deposits. We are happy to match you with a puppy or provide our guidance on which puppies will better suite your lifestyle and home.
We do not remove dewclaws or dock tails on any of our Poodle or Corgi puppies. One of the reasons being that our vet clinic is in Alberta, and Alberta has outlawed docking tails. The main reason that we won't subject our puppies to these cosmetic procedures is that recent research has shown possible lifelong pain associated with docked tails and removed front dewclaws.
Deposits placed to join a reservation list or to reserve a specific puppy are non-refundable. Making our deposits non-refundable encourages buyers to think long and hard about whether one of our puppies is a good fit for them. It also prevents our waiting lists from becoming inflated with people who are only window shopping for a puppy, as this would give a false impression to serious buyers about litter availability.
Our puppies are sold on a strict spay/neuter contract. We are willing to consider selling breeding rights to experienced breeders. Breeding rights will be an additional fee and will only be available to approved programs and only on puppies we deem breeding quality. Full rights puppies will still be sold with a contract.
We are definitely willing to work with organizations or individuals in need of a service dog prospect. We temperament test our puppies and are confident selecting a puppy that has the potential for service work. Some of our past Standard Poodle puppies have gone on to be service dogs. We love when our puppies can reach their full potential through service or therapy work!
We do not ship our puppies as cargo on planes, but we are willing to deliver to the Saskatoon or Edmonton airport so your puppy can fly home in-cabin with you. Check out our free E-book on how to fly with your puppy. We usually organize a free delivery day to both Saskatoon and Edmonton for every litter. Other delivery locations can be discussed.
